Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con un proceso para la preparación de un compuesto de la fórmula (I) en la forma de cualquiera de sus estereoisómeros o mezclas de los mismos, y en donde R representa un grupo C2-C10 de la fórmula CORa, en donde Ra es un grupo alquilo o alquenilo que comprende opcionalmente uno o dos grupos funcionales o es un grupo fenilo o bencilo opcionalmente sustituido por uno a tres grupos alquilo, alcoxilo, carboxilo, acilo, amino o nitro o átomos de halógeno. La invención también se relaciona con el uso del compuesto (I) para la síntesis de ß-santalol o de sus derivados.
