Abstract

La presente invención se refiere al campo de la transformación de plantas con los genes que confieren tolerancia al glifosato; la invención particularmente se refiere a una planta de maíz transformada con un gen que codifica un EPSPS que proporciona la tolerancia a la planta a una aplicación del glifosato en condiciones en que este herbicida es efectivo en la destrucción de malezas; la invención se refiere en particular a un evento de transformación de elite VCO-Ø1981-5 que comprende el constructo génico y medios, kits y métodos para detectar la presencia de dicho evento de elite.
