Abstract

Un sistema de imagenología en tiempo real que proporciona imagenología ultrasónica e imagenología optoacústica corregistradas a través de la aplicación de la misma sonda portátil para genera y detectar señales optoacústicas y ultrasónicas. Estas señales se digitalizan, procesan y usan para reconstruir mapas anatómicos sobrepuestos con mapas de dos parámetros funcionales del índice de hemoglobina en sangre e índice de oxigenación de la sangre. El índice de hemoglobina en la sangre representa los cambios de concentración de hemoglobina en la sangre en las áreas de interés de diagnóstico con relación a la concentración en sangre de antecedente. El índice de oxigenación de la sangre representa los cambios de oxigenación de la sangre en las áreas de interés de diagnóstico con relación al nivel de oxigenación de la sangre de antecedente. Estos mapas corregistrados se pueden usar para diferenciar tumores malignos de manera no invasiva de tumores y quistes benignos.
