Abstract
Se describe un proceso para regenerar catalizadores que se han desactivado o envenenado durante la hidrogenación de biomasa, azúcares y polisacáridos, en el que se pueden eliminar las especies polimerizadas que se hayan aglomerado en las superficies del catalizador lavando el catalizador con agua caliente a temperaturas subcríticas. Una característica del proceso regenera los catalizadores in situ, lo cual permite adaptar el proceso para usarlo en sistemas de reactores de producción continua. También se describe un proceso de hidrogenación continuo que incorpora el proceso de regeneración de la presente.
