Abstract
La invención se refiere a materiales acrílicos espumados que utilizan ambos agentes, de soplado químico tradicional, así como microesferas espumables; las espumas acrílicas tienen reducción de densidad mejorada, propiedades ópticas, y propiedades de aislamiento; las espumas acrílicas de la invención pueden formarse por medio de métodos de procesamiento de fusión tradicionales (moldeo por soplado, extrusión, etc.) así como métodos de espumación innovadores, tales como generación de espuma durante o después de la polimerización; un método novedoso de la invención involucra el uso de microesferas expandibles mezcladas con monómeros, los monómeros después polimerizados por medio de procesos polimerización en volumen en fundido de celda, infusión, o moldeo por compresión; este método puede utilizarse de manera efectiva para producir estructuras espumosas compuestas, tales como en combinación con resinas líquidas ELIUM(r) de Arkema.
