Abstract

Esta invención proporciona por lo general una composición para elaborar una espuma de poliuretano con una emisión reducida de aldehído y más especialmente una composición útil en medios de transporte, tales como las partes interiores de automóviles, en donde la composición comprende: (a) un isocianato polifuncional; (b) una composición reactiva al isocianato; y (c) 5 un compuesto de fórmula (I) o (II), en donde el compuesto (c) está presente en porcentaje en peso en la composición en una cantidad que varía de aproximadamente 0.001 a aproximadamente 10, preferiblemente de aproximadamente 0.01 a aproximadamente 5, y más preferiblemente de aproximadamente 0.05 a aproximadamente 2 con base en el peso total de la composición. Las composiciones pueden reducir la emisión de aldehído, especialmente 10 la emisión de acetaldehído en la espuma de PU y no tiene una influencia obvia en las propiedades mecánicas de la espuma.
