Abstract

Las espumas de poliuretano flexibles se fabrican haciendo reaccionar un cuasi-prepolímero hidrófilo, agua y un poliol polimérico en presencia de un tensioactivo de silicona y un copolímero de bloques de óxido de etileno/óxido de alquileno superior. Las espumas exhiben deseablemente bajas densidades y ajustes de compresión, y tienen buenas propiedades térmicas y de absorción de humedad. Las espumas son útiles en la ropa de cama y otras aplicaciones de "confort" en las que están expuestas al calor corporal y soportan al menos una parte del peso del usuario. Las propiedades de absorción térmica y de humedad contribuyen a a comodidad percibida por el usuario.
