Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a nuevas formas cristalinas de trifenatato de vilanterol, a procedimientos para su preparación, y a su uso en una composición farmacéutica para el tratamiento de enfermedades respiratorias, particularmente para el tratamiento de asma y enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica. En particular, la presente invención se refiere a una forma cristalina de trifenatato de vilanterol caracterizada porque la forma tiene un patrón de XRPD como se define en la presente memoria que tiene ángulos de difracción característicos (2-theta o 20 (°)) que cae dentro de o en cada extremo de uno o más de los siguientes intervalos: (a) 3 a 5°, tal como 3,8 a 4,4°; y/o (b) 7 a 9,9°, tal como 7 a 8,5°; y/o (c) 12 a 13,3°, tal como 12 a 13,3°; y/o (d) 16,4 a 17,3°, tal como 16,4 a 17,3°; y/o (e) 26,8 a 28,3°, tal como 26,8 a 28,3°.
