Abstract

Un método y sistema para operar un compresor de gas de sello utilizado en un proceso de reducción directa que incluye: monitorear un nivel de pH de una corriente de agua utilizada en el compresor de gas de sello, en donde el nivel de pH de la corriente de agua se ve afectado por una corriente de gas de combustión del reformador que entra en contacto con la corriente de agua, en donde el paso de monitoreo se lleva a cabo una o más de corriente arriba del compresor de gas de sello y corriente abajo del compresor; y ajustar el nivel de pH de la corriente de agua para mantener el nivel de pH de la corriente de agua dentro de un intervalo predeterminado basado en la retroalimentación del paso de monitoreo. El método incluye mantener el nivel de pH de la corriente de agua corriente arriba del compresor de gas del sello en un intervalo entre 7.5 y 10 y mantener el nivel de pH de la corriente de agua corriente abajo del compresor de gas del sello en un intervalo de 7.8 a 9.5.
