Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para producir cuerpos de guía de luz y a su uso en unidades de iluminación, por ejemplo, para pantallas de cristal líquido o para monitores. En particular, la presente invención se refiere a un método para producir cuerpos de guía de luz que tienen un espesor de a lo más 1 mm y contienen al menos 80% en peso de metacrilato de polimetilo y no tienen constituyentes de dispersión de luz. En el método el material polimérico como una placa o película delgada por un aparato mezclador (1), una matriz de película plana (2) y un reborde de matriz (3) que está adaptado a la circunferencia externa de los rodillos de alisadura. La distancia de los rodillos de alisadura y el reborde de matriz puede ser ópticamente controlada.
