Abstract

Un método y aparato mejorado para la producción de una hebra de hilo de lámina de grafito reforzada, que es la base de los hilos de lámina de grafito trenzada. Para producir las hebras de lámina de grafito reforzada, lo que se necesita es un aparato para un dado circular adelgazado en forma de cono que tenga una geometría especificada adecuada para rizar la fibra y la superficie cubierta con adhesivo hacia adentro sobre sí misma, de tal manera que el listón rizado se adhiera consigo mismo cuando se comprima en el dado saliente final, formando una hebra compuesta reforzada con fibra terminada de una hojuela de grafito extendida que tiene una resistencia a la tracción adecuada, flexibilidad y dureza, para permitir el trenzado, tejido y otro procesamiento, haciéndola comercialmente útil siempre que se desee un material flexible seco, lúbrico y fuerte.
