Abstract
Un dispositivo termistor positivo incluye un elemento de termistor positivo, que tiene una pareja de electrodos opuestos, cada uno recibe una fuerza de compresion aplicada elásticamente desde uno de los elementos de contacto de resorte correspondiente, para retener el elemento termistor en una posicion definida previamente dentro del dispositivo. Cuando se destruye el dispositivo termistor, el elemento se rompe en fragmentos, algunos de los cuales permanecen en contacto con los elementos de contacto de resorte. Los fragmentos restantes se desvían en posicion para asegurarse de que no conduzcan electricidad, resultando en un estado abierto, en donde cualquier flujo de corriente se inhibe a través de tales fragmentos. Más específicamente, se mantiene un disco termistor positivo dentro del dispositivo, de manera que se interponga entre las piezas de contacto conductivas de resorte y las proyecciones de alineamiento de posicion, aisladoras, las cuales están situadas diagonalmente cruzadas entre sí. Las piezas de contacto de resorte se localizan además hacia las partes periféricas del disco que las proyecciones de alineacion de posicion, causando una fuerza de resorte que se extiende en una direccion por lo regular hacia afuera, relativa a una direccion perpendicular a los planos de los electrodos. En una modalidad, las proyecciones de alineamiento de posicion tienen porciones de recorte en sus extremos de punta externa, respectivamente, para además promover la formacion de un estado de circuito abierto en la presencia de un mal funcionamiento.
