Abstract
AND RESIDUAL SEWAGE The present invention discloses an automatic desanding system, which consists in a concrete structure similar to the traditional desanding systems, with a sedimentation chamber having a sand extraction chamber at the bottom and housing a sand collector hopper, and with a sensor system that actuates a pump in relation to the difference of weight of the sand and the displaced liquid; in this hopper sand is deposited periodically, by means of an extraction system, formed by a nozzle and a tuyère installed at the collector hopper, wherein a liquid jet is generated at high speed, by the pumped clarified water, that drags water, mud and sand, which are conduced to a sand washing tank; the stop is determined the filling level of the separation and sand washing tank, by means of a floating mechanism, that controls the synchronicity of aperture and closure of special butterfly valves, for separating the sand, and returning the organic mud that was extracted along with the sand to the process in a diluted form; the piping lines are provided with a fastening system, which allows the piping to adjust its height while the sand is being ejected; this process is based in the difference of sedimentation speeds between the organic particles and the sand for their separation.
