AT AN OPTICAL SCANNING DEVICE, WHICH SCANS THE DATA TRACKS OF AN INFORMATION MEDIUM WOBBLED ABOUT A FREQUENCY, THE LIGHT BEAM SCANNING THE DATA IS DEFLECTED FROM THE INFORMATION MEDIUM UPON A FOURQUADRANT - PHOTODETECTOR (PD) HAVING FOUR PHOTODIODES (A, B, C, D).THE OUTPUT SIGNALS OFF ALL PHOTODIODES (A, B, C, D) ARE ADDED IN AN ADDING AMPLIFIER (V2).IN ORDER TO COMPENSATE AUTOMATICALLY OFFSET VOLTAGES, WHICH CAN BE CAUSED IN THE TRACK CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR INSTANCE BY TEMPERATURE VARIATIONS IS THE OUTPUT OF THE ADDING AMPLIFIER (V2) CONNECTED WITH THE ONE INPUT OF A MULTIPLIER (M), WHOSE OTHER INPUT IS SUPPLIED WITH THE TRACK ERROR SIGNAL. THE OUTPUT SIGNAL OF THE MULTIPLIER (M) IS FED INTO THE TRACK CONTROL CIRCUIT VIA A LOW - PASS (TP) AS COMPENSATION VOLTAGE.TRACK CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPTICAL SCANNING DEVICE, WHICH SCANS THE DATA TRACK OF AN INFORMATION MEDIUM, WHICH IS WOBBLED ABOUT A FREQUENCY(FIG 1)
