Abstract

A GATE OPENING AND CLOSING APPARATUS, TYPICALLY REFERRED TO AS ''GATE OPERATOR'' AND WHICH AUTOMATICALLY MOVES A GATE, SUCH AS A SWINGING GATE BETWEEN OPENED AND CLOSED POSITIONS. THE SAID GATE OPERATOR OF THE PRESENT INVENTION EMPLOYS A POWER MOTOR UNIT, SUCH AS AN ELECTRICALLY MOTOR DRIVEN POWER UNIT WHICH ROTATES A POWER DRIVE ARM (9). A CRANK ARM IS RELEASABLY CONNECTED TO THE SAID POWER DRIVE ARM (9) VIA THE SPECIALLY DESIGNED AND CONFIGURED CONNECTING ARM BASED (8) AND MOVABLE THEREWITH. IN ADDITION, THE SAID CRANK ARM (NOT SHOWN) IS IN TURN, CONNECTED TO A CONNECTING ARM WHICH HAS ONE END CONNECTED TO THE GATE OF MOVEMENT OF THE GATE. THE PRESENT INVENTION RELIES UPON THE USE OF SECOND GEAR CONNECTED TO THE POWER DRIVEN ELECTRICAL UNIT FOR THE SWING MOVEMENT CONTROL MECHANISM.FIGURE 1
