Abstract

THIS INVENTION AIMS TO PROVIDE AN IMPROVED DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING LIQUID-PASSAGES ON A TOP SURFACE THEREOF SUCH AS A SANITARY NAPKIN. A TOPSHEET COMPRISES AN UPPER LAYER SHEET HAVING A PLURALITY OF LIQUID-PASSAGES 12 AND A LOWER LAYER SHEET HAVING AN ELASTIC RECOVERY AFTER COMPRESSION HIGHER THAN THAT OF THE UPPER LAYER SHEET. THESE UPPER AND LOWER LAYER SHEETS ARE HEAT-SEALED TOGETHER AT DEBOSSES DISTRIBUTED IN A PATTERN. THIS PATTERN BEING FORMED BY INDIVIDUAL DOT-LIKE DEBOSSES 13 OCCUPYING AT LEAST CROSSINGS OF IMAGINARY LINES L DEFINING A PLURALITY OF RECTANGULAR BLOCKS 14 EACH HAVING A PAIR OF ANGLES OPPOSED TO EACH OTHER ON A LONGITUDINAL AXIS 2 AND A PAIR OF ANGLES OPPOSED TO EACH OTHER ON A TRANSVERSAL AXIS 3 OF THE ARTICLE.(FIG. 3)
