A HOOP MATERIAL WINDING APPARATUS OF A MAGAZINE TYPE FOR WINDING CONTINUOUS TAPE-LIKE HOOP MATERIAL (1) ON A BOBBIN (11) INCLUDES: A GUIDE SECTION (2) FOR GUIDING THE HOOP MATERIAL ONTO THE BOBBIN, THE GUIDE SECTION INCLUDING CUTTING MEANS (9) FOR CUTTING THE HOOP MATERIAL WHEN THE BOBBIN HAS FINISHED WINDING THE HOOP MATERIAL; A WINDING SECTION (3,19,22,23,35,36) FOR RECEIVING AT LEAST TWO MAGAZINES (12), EACH MAGAZINE ACCOMMODATING AT LEAST ONE SAID BOBBIN, SO AS TO BE CAPABLE OF MOVING BETWEEN A POSITION FOR ALLOWING THE BOBBIN TO WIND THE HOOP MATERIAL AND A POSITION FOR PREPARING THE BOBBIN READY FOR WINDING THE HOOP MATERIAL; AND A BOBBIN DRIVING SECTION (15,17) FOR DRIVING THE BOBBIN.
