PROVIDED IS A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES WHICH COMPRISES AN AIR DUCT (1) FORMED BY CONNECTING A PLURALITY OF SIDE CASES (31,32) AND WHICH HAS IN THE AIR DUCT (1) AN AIR MIXING DAMPER AND AN AIR DISCHARGE PORT OPENING/CLOSING CONTROL DAMPER, WHEREIN AT LEAST ONE OF THE AIR MIXING DAMPER AND THE AIR DISCHARGE PORT OPENING/CLOSING CONTROL DAMPER IS FORMED FROM A PLATE-LIKE MEMBER (6,17) WHICH IS MOVABLE IN ITS LONGITUDINAL DIRECTION AND HAS A FLEXIBILITY IN ITS LONGITUDINAL DIRECTION AND A RIGIDITY IN ITS TRANVERSE DIRECTION, AND AT LEAST THE PLATE-LIKE MEMBER (6,17) IS INSERTED INTO THE AIR DUCT (1) THROUGH AN INSERTION HOLE (33,34) WHICH IS PROVIDED ON A SURFACE OF ONE SIDE CASE(31,32), AND AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BY THE METHOD. WHILE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR MAKING THE SYSTEM SMALL-SIZED AND FOR INCREASING THE DESIGN FREEDOM, THE ASSEMBLY WORKABILITY MAY BE IMPROVED AN DTHE MAINTENANCE EFFICIENCY AND THE RECYCLE EFFICIENCY MAY BE INCREASED.FIG. 7
