THE CONSTRUCTION INCLUDES A SIDE MEMBER (1) DISPOSED ALONG A FORE AND AFT DIRECTION OF A VEHICLE BODY ON EACH OF RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES OF A FRONT PORTION OF THE VEHICLE BODY, A CROSS MEMBER (12) DISPOSED ALONG A RIGHT/LEFT DIRECTION OF THE VEHICLE BODY AT THE FRONT PORTION OF THE VEHICLE BODY, AN APRON PORTION (5) FORMING A TIRE HOUSE FOR A FRONT WHEEL (4) UPWARDLY OF THE SIDE MEMBER (1) DISPOSED ON THE SIDE CORRESPONDING THERETO, AND A COUPLING MEMBER (15) CONNECTED TO THE APRON PORTION (5) AND EXTENDING DOWNWARDLY THEREFROM. A FRONT PORTION OF THE SIDE MEMBER (1), A LATERAL PORTION OF THE CROSS MEMBER (12) AND A LOWER PORTION OF THE COUPLING MEMBER (15) ARE CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER SUCH THAT A FRONT FACE OF THE FRONT PORTION OF THE SIDE MEMBER (1), A FRONT FACE OF THE LATERAL PORTION OF THE CROSS MEMBER (12) AND A FRONT FACE OF THE LOWER PORTION OF THE COUPLING MEMBER (15) EXTEND CONTINUOUSLY AND FORM A SUBSTANTIALLY FLUSH SURFACE WITH EACH OTHER.
