DISCLOSED IS A DECOMPRESSION DEVICE OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE (20), INCLUDING: A DECOMPRESSION CAM (67) WHICH HAS A BUILT-IN ONE-WAY CLUTCH (66) OPERATIVE FOR TRANSMITTING TORQUE ONLY WHEN A CAM SHAFT (57) IS REVERSELY ROTATED AND IS ATTACHED TO ONE END OF THE CAM SHAFT (57); AND A STOPPER PIECE (72) FOR STOPPING AN OPERATION OF THE DECOMPRESSION CAM (67) WHEN THE CAM SHAFT (57) IS FORWARDLY ROTATED, WHICH IS ATTACHED TO A CAM SHAFT HOLDER (65) USED TOGETHER WITH A CYLINDER HEAD (24) FOR SUPPORTING THE CAM SHAFT (57).
