Abstract
THE INVENTION SPECIFIES AN INTAKE TRACT FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, WHICH INTAKE TRACT HAS AT LEAST ONE INTAKE PIPE (20), A THROTTLE FLAP (23) ARRANGED IN THE INTAKE PIPE (20) AND A PROTECTION DEVICE (26) WHICH RESPONDS IN THE EVENT OF BACKFIRING INTO THE INTAKE PIPE (20) AND HAS MEANS FOR DISSIPATING THE PRESSURE IN THE INTAKE PIPE (20). IN ORDER TO REALIZE A PROTECTION DEVICE (26) WHICH IS COST-EFFECTIVE IN PRODUCTION TERMS, THE THROTTLE FLAP (23) IS UTILIZED AS A PRESSURE DISSIPATION MEANS WHICH IS ACTUATED INTELLIGENTLY BY MEANS OF SOFTWARE.
