Abstract

The present invention relates to a brazed diamond tool comprising a plurality of layers, characterized by: a plurality of diamond particles (11) coated with a transition metal (12); at least two porous metal foam (13) layers sandwiching the plurality of diamond particles (11); a filler alloy (14) layered on the porous metal foam (13) layer; a metal substrate (15) layered on the filler alloy (14); and said plurality of layers being heated under vacuum to form the brazed diamond tool.
