Abstract
The present invention relates generally to a bio-impedance analyzer for bioelectrical impedance measurements. Accordingly, the bio-impedance analyzer (10) includes: a) a current generation unit (20), wherein the current generation unit (20) includes a Voltage- Controlled Oscillator (VCO) (22), pre-amplifier (24) and Voltage-Controlled Current Source (VCCS) (26); b) a voltage sensing unit or voltage detection unit (30), wherein the voltage sensing unit or voltage detection unit (30) is able to measure voltage drop across a subject; c) a signal processing unit (40), wherein the signal processing unit (40) includes at least one microcontroller (42) for the calculation of bioimpedance parameters; and d) output devices (50), wherein the output devices (50) are able to display calculated results and/or to send connection.
