Abstract

A disposable diaper with stretchable member and a method for manufacturing same are disclosed. The method includes the steps of feeding a web material (1), such as nonwoven fabric or water-absorbent paper. and a plurality of elastic members (2), such as elastic bands; stretching the elastic members (2) to a predetermined length using a ratio-control unit (3): applying an adhesive on the stretched elastic members (2) using a spray unit (5), and a bonding the stretched elastic members (2) to the web material (1); wrapping the stretched elastic members (2)with the web material (1) at a wrapping unit (6 ); maintaining the tension and controlling the expanding of the web mate1ial (I); cutting the web material (1) to form a plurality of individual stretchable members (9); and separately sucking and attaching the individual stretchable members (9) to rear waistband portions (12) of individual disposal diapers. With the stretchable member (9) provided at rear waistband portion (12), the disposable diaper is more convenient and more comfortable for wearing.
