THE ABSORBENT ARTICLE OF THE INVENTION HAS A COMPRESSED SECTION (5) THAT INTEGRATES AT LEAST A TOP SHEET (2) AND AN ABSORBENT BODY (4) IN THE FRONT REGION (AF), THE COMPRESSED SECTION (5) HAVING A BASE POINT (51) LOCATED ON THE INNERMOST SIDE IN THE LENGTHWISE DIRECTION, AND TWO COMPRESSED GROOVES (52, 53) ON THE OUTER SIDE FROM THE BASE POINT (51) IN THE LENGTHWISE DIRECTION AND RUNNING TOWARD BOTH OUTER SIDES IN THE WIDTHWISE DIRECTION, THE BASE POINT (51) BEING SITUATED AT A LOCATION THAT IS NOT OVERLAPPING WITH THE CENTER AXIS LINE (CL) RUNNING IN THE LENGTHWISE DIRECTION OF THE ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND ITS DISTANCE (LG) FROM THE CENTER AXIS LINE (CL) BEING WITHIN 15% OF THE WIDTHWISE LENGTH (LW) OF THE ABSORBENT BODY (4), AND THE TWO COMPRESSED GROOVES (52, 53) BEING SITUATED SO THAT ONE OF THE COMPRESSED GROOVES (52) CROSSES WITH THE CENTER AXIS LINE (CL).
