Abstract

A support structure of a steering column includes: a main member (10) extending in the vehicle width direction; a steering support (20) that includes a front bracket (21) from which a steering column (50) is suspended and supported, the front bracket (21) being joined to the main member (10); an upper brace (30) that includes a main part (31) joined to both the main member (10) and the front bracket (21), and a butting part (32) continued to a front end of the main part (31) and connected to a vehicle front member (60); and a lower brace (40) that is joined to both the front end of the front bracket (21) and the butting part (32). The main part (31) is provided with a weakened portion (311) that allows the main part (31) to be deformed in the vehicle height direction. (FIG. 3)
