Abstract

Etter en feil i et optisk toveis kommunikasjonssystem blir laserne som genererer trafikk- bærende kanaler og en oppsynskanal slått av for å la personer trygt utføre reparasjoner. Oppsynskanalen som har lav effekt, slås på med mellomrom for å avgjøre om feilen fortsatt er tilstede, men dersom en mottager er i stand til på korrekt måte å gjenopprette rammeinnretting fra en sådan puls, blir oppsynskanalen i den motsatte retning gjort virksom, og etter rammeinnretting i begge retninger blir hovedlaserne trygt slått på.
