Abstract

Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en sammensetning basert på TiO2 nyttig som opalescerende middel som består i blanding med en vandig TiO2-dispersjon av en vandig dispersjon av minst et uorganisk avstandsgivende middel, i en slik tilstand at de to mineralspesies kombineres i blandede mineralske flokker, hvori Ti02-partiklene befinner seg globalt i avstand fra hverandre ved hjelp av partiklene og/eller aggregatene av det avstandsgivende middelet. Det er også beskrevet en sammensetning basert på TiO2 og SiO2 som er kjennetegnet ved at TiO2- og SiO2-partiklene er kombinert deri i form av blandede mineralske flokker basert på TiO2 og SiO2l hvori TiO2-partiklene er globalt isolert fra hverandre ved hjelp av nevnte silisiumoksydaggregater, og dets anvendelse som opalescerende middel, spesielt innen papirindustrien.
