Abstract
Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte til deteksjon av objekter, fortrinnsvis fisk, fra sonardata. Ekkosignaler fra gjentatte sonarmålinger digitaliseres og registreres i en todimensjonal dataoppstilling der ekkoavstand, alternativt signalets gangtid, utgjør en dimensjon og målingsnummeret, alternativt målingstidspunktet, utgjør den andre dimensjonen. Ved ønsket størrelse av dataoppstillingen utføres todimensjonal filtrering, adaptiv terskling og morfologisk behandling slik at det kan fremstilles et ekkogram med mindre støy og sikrere påvisning av ønskede objekter. Ytterligere formanalyse forbedrer påvisningen ytterligere.The invention relates to a method for detecting objects, preferably fish, from sonar data. Echo signals from repeated sonar measurements are digitized and recorded in a two-dimensional data set where echo spacing, alternatively the signal time, constitutes one dimension and the measurement number, or measurement time, constitutes the other dimension. At the desired size of the data set, two-dimensional filtering, adaptive thresholding and morphological processing are performed so that an echogram with less noise can be produced and more secure detection of desired objects. Further shape analysis further improves detection.
