Fotospennings celler som i haivleder sjikt benytter titan dioksyd pulvere bestående av porøse partikler hvis størrelses område som ligger fra 0.1 til 10 mikron og har relativt høy masse densitet kombinert med høyt overflate areal. Partiklene er agregater av krystalitter og har en størrelse på under 0.1 mikron.
