Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for utvinning av xenon og eventuelt også krypton fra en tilførsel med flytende oksygen (LOX) som inneholder xenon (Xe), krypton (Kr) og hydrokarboner (CxHy) i liten konsentrasjon og ca. 99 mol% oksygen (02). LOX-tilførselen tilføres til en l. kolonne hvor oksygenet i LOX-tilførselen i stor grad strippes av med en inert gass og utvinnes i toppgassen, mens det fra bunnen av den l. kolonne tas ut inertgass med lite 62 og tilnærmet hele totalmengden av CxHy, Kr og Xe som væske. Den uttatte væske, uten forut- gående katalytisk og/eller adsorptiv fjerning av CxHy, føres til en 2. kolonne hvor en Kr-fraksjon tas ut som toppgass og en Xe-fraksjon tas ut i bunnen. Xe-frak- sjonen fra bunnen av den 2. kolonne innføres i en 3. kolonne i den midterste del mellom topp og bunn, og et rent Xe-produkt tas ut i toppen av den 3. kolonne. Fremgangsmåten benyttet med en innretning for Xe- og/eller Kr-utvinning kan være i forbindelse med et luftseparasjonsanlegg. Innretningen kan være anordnet i en transportabel kontainer.
