Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av citalopram karakteri- sert ved (i) reaksjon av l-(4'-fluorfenyl)-l-(3-dimetyl- aminopropyl)-5-haloftalan med aktivert magnesium, for å danne Grignardreagensen [3-[l-(4-fluorfenyl)-l,3-dihydro- isobenzofuran-1-yl]propyl]dimetylamin 5-magnesiumhalid fulgt av (ii) reaksjon av [3-[l-(4-fluorfenyl)-l,3-dihyd- ro-isobenzofuran-1-yl]propyl]dimetylamin 5-magnesiumhalid med en forbindelse som inneholder en -CN gruppe bundet til en forlatende gruppe, for å danne citalopram.
