Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for å fastsette en vertikal komponent (formel I) for partikkelhastighet ut fra seismiske data innhentet ved en mottaker anordnet innenfor en vannsøyle, omfatter å fastsette den vertikale komponenten til partikkelhastighet ut fra trykket innhentet ved mottakeren ved anvendelse av en operator som er nøyaktig for seismisk data som er innhentet ved en dybde under overflaten til vannsøylen på opptil i det minste 0,4 ganger den minimale bølgelengden for seismisk energi anvendt for å innhente de seismiske dataene. Den vertikale komponenten av partikkelhastighet ut fra trykket oppnådd ved mottakeren kan fastsettes ved anvendelse av ligning (2). Denne ligningen er nøyaktig og kan anvendes for seismisk data innhentet ved en hvilken som helst dybde under overflaten til vannsøylen. Som et alternativ kan ligningen være trunkert for å redusere den nødvendige prosesseringen, selv om dette kan begrense den maksimale dybden for innhenting av data med hvilket den trunkerte ligningen kan anvendes.
