Abstract

Nye fremgangsmåter, vev og preparater for å øke pankreasmassen hos et mottakerpattedyr som omfatter høsting av umodent pankreasvev fra et donorpattedyr og transplantasjon av vevet inn i bukhulen til et mottakerpattedyr under betingelser som gjør at pankreasvevet blir vaskularisert og modnes, slik at det utvikles en fungerende, kimær, endokrin pankreas som danner i det minste insulin i mottakeren.
