Abstract

Det er beskrevet fremgangsmåter og anordninger for sammenkobling av forede metallrør (110, 120), spesielt tilknyttet offshore olje- og gassindustrien. Korrosjon er et vanlig problem innen industrien. Foring av rør overvinner problemet, mens sammensveising av rørseksjoner kan være en komplisert og tidkrevende oppgave, som krever dedikert og sofistikert bearbeiding og verktøy. Det ville være ønskelig å ha mulighet til å benytte konvensjonelt rørleggingsutstyr (20, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90) med lite tilleggsverktøy og -bearbeiding. Fremgangsmåten inkluderer sammenkobling av forede rør (110, 120) ved bruk av et korrosjonsmotstandsdyktig broelement (102) som innvendig overlapper begge foringer, og etterlater et tomrom (146) bak sveiseområdet (109) mens i det minste de innledende trinnene av sveisingen (180) blir utført, og ekspansjon (170) av broelementet for å tilveiebringe en forsegling mellom foringene, i en kontrollert rekkefølge.
