Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for satsvis opparbeiding av gjenvinningsmaterial som inneholder verdifulle metaller med så stor andel av organiske bestanddeler at dets anvendelse som smeltematerial i konvensjonelle smelteprosesser for metall ikke er hensiktsmessig eller mulig. Materialet mates inn i tippbar reaktor som er roterbar rundt sin lengdeakse med samme åpning for innmating og tømming. Materialet varmes opp til en temperatur som begunstiger avdrivning av organiske bestanddeler gjennom pyrolyse og/eller forbrenning. Materialet utgjøres i det minste for en vesentlig del av slike størrelsesfraksjoner som tillater kontinuerlig innmating under drift. Fremgangsmåten kjennetegnes av at materialet mates inn kontinuerlig under drift i en regulerbar strøm, hvorved strømmen reguleres og/eller styres ved hjelp av løpende målinger av ulike prosessvariable, slik at strømmen og sammensetningen av den brennbare gassen og prosessens varmeutvikling holdes under kontroll. Et opparbeidet produkt i alt vesentlig fritt for organisk substans tas ut av reaktoren og tilsettes i en konvensjonell smelteprosess for metaller. Materialet tilføres hensiktsmessig til reaktoren under drift med en innmatingsanordning anordnet mot eller gjennom den eneste åpningen i reaktoren ved hjelp av tyngdekraften og/eller en pneumatisk transportgass.
