Abstract

Fremgangsmåte ved fremstilling av rent silisium metall for solcelleformål og amorf silika som tilsetningsmiddel til maling og andre kjemiske produkter ved reduksjon av kvarts (Si02) i ett trirm. Kvartspulver med komstørrelse d50 < 35 nm irmføres i en plasmaovn og der blir redusert med minst ett egnet reduksjonsmiddel idet kvartspulveret blir irmført i ovnen ved hjelp av en bæregass eller ved hjelp et gassformig reduksjonsmiddel. Reduksjonsmidlet er typisk metan, hydrogen eller naturgass, eventuelt i kombinasjon med karbonpulver. Oppflrmelsen angår også rent silisiummetall og amorf silika fremstilt i henhold til nevnte fremgangsmåte.Process for the preparation of pure silicon metal for solar cell purposes and amorphous silica as an additive for paints and other chemical products by reducing quartz (SiO 2) in one trirm. Quartz powder of grain size d50 <35 nm is introduced into a plasma furnace and reduced by at least one suitable reducing agent, the quartz powder being introduced into the furnace by means of a carrier gas or by means of a gaseous reducing agent. The reducing agent is typically methane, hydrogen or natural gas, optionally in combination with carbon powder. The invention also relates to pure silicon metal and amorphous silica made in accordance with said method.
