Abstract
Oppfinnelsen angår minst fire forskjellige aspekter vedrørende katalysatorstruktur, fremgangsmåter for fremstilling av katalysatorene og anvendelse av katalysatorene ved fremstilling av alkenylalkanoater. De forskjellige aspekter ved oppfinnelsen, hver for seg eller i kombinasjon, er spesielt rettet på å forbedre produksjonen av alkenylalkanoalter og VA, innbefattende minskning av biprodukter og forbedre produksjonseffektiviteten. Et første aspekt ved oppfinnelsen angår en palladium/gull katalysator eller prekatalysator (eventuelt kalsinert) som innbefatter rhodium eller et annet metall. Et andre aspekt angår en palladium/gull katalysator eller prekatalysator som er basert på et lagdelt bærermateriale hvor ett lag i bærermaterialet er hovedsakelig fritt for katalytiske komponenter. Et tredje aspekt angår en palladium/gull katalysator eller pre-katalysator på et zirkoniaholdig bærermateriale. Et fjerde aspekt angår en palladium/gull katalysator eller pre-katalysator som fremstilles av hovedsakelig kloridfrie katalytiske komponenter
