Abstract

Ifølge oppfinnelsen tilveiebringes en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av et statin som omfatter følgende trirm: a) fremstilling av en forbindelse med formel II hvori S' står for et hydrogenatom eller en hydroksylbeskyttende gruppe, S^ og S^ uavhengig av hverandre står for hydroksylbeskyttende grupper, og r' står for et hydrogenatom eller en karboksylbeskyttende gruppe, ved stereoselektiv hydrogenering av en forbindelse med formel III for erholdelse av en forbindelse med formel Il-a og om ønskelig irmføring av en hydroksylbeskyttende gruppe og b) laktonisering av forbindelsen med formel II for erholdelse av en forbindelse med formel I-a
