Abstract
En fremgangsmåte og apparat er fremlagt for å bestemme konsentrasjonen av individuelle komponenter innenfor en fluid blanding ved å bestemme permittiviteten til de individuelle komponentene. Fremgangsmåten og apparatet bruker en referansesensor og i det minste en målesensor posisjonert på innsiden av den samme sensorinnretningen som er senket ned i fluidblandingen som skal måles. Signaler, slik som radiofrekvens eller mikrobølge, er sekvensielt kjent på flere kjente konstante frekvenser til og reflektert fra både referanse og målesensorene. Permittiviteter til de individuelle komponentene blir bestemt fra disse sendte og reflekterte signalene og informasjon om konsentrasjonen av de individuelle fluidene og andre sammensetninger innenfor fluidblandingen og tettheten av fluidblandingen blir produsert. Repetitive samplinger og prosessering av disse signalene tillater bestemmelsen og sanntidsmonitorering av konsentrasjonen av individuelle komponenter innenfor en blanding av fluidet. Foreliggende oppfinnelse gir selvkalibrering, nøyaktig frekvensvedlikehold og selvvalg av et operativt frekvensområde.
