Abstract
Denne oppfinnelsen er en ultralavfrekvenselektromagnetisk telemetrimottaker som forener flere inngangsmottakskilder for å syntetisere dekodbare meldingspakker fra støyforringede telemetrimeldingsstrenger. Blokker av telemetridata som sendes til overflatemottaker fra borehullsverktøy kodes digitalt til datapakker før overføring. Datapakker moduleres på ULF EM bærebølgen, sendes fra borehullet til overflaten og detekteres samtidig av flere mottakssensorer som er fordelt innenfor riggomgivelsen. Mottakssensorer inkluderer, men er ikke begrenset til, sensorer for elektriske og magnetiske felt. Støygeneratorer er ulikt koplet til hvert mottaksoverflateelement på grunn av nærhet og/eller type støygenerator. Mottakeren anvender en rekke av beslutningsmetrikker for å rekonstruere opprinnelige, ikke-støyforringede datapakker fra observasjonsmatrisen via estimering av individuelle datarammer. Mottakeren estimerer inntil: 1) meldingen validerer, eller 2) forhåndsvalgt "confidence terskel" nås, hvorved rammer innenfor observasjonsmatrisen ikke lenger blir "stolt på".
