Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse gjelder derivater av porfyrin, fortrinnsvis klorider og/eller bakterioklorider, med formelen (I) og (II) som kan anvendes i fotodynamisk terapi. Ifølge oppfinnelsen står X1-X8, som kan være like eller forskjellige, alle for halogenatomer eller hydrogenatomer, og R1-R4 som kan være like eller forskjellige, alle er utvalgt fra følgende grupper: -OH, aminosyrer, -OR, -NHR og et kloratom, hvori R er en C1-12-alkylgruppe. Oppfinnelsen gjelder også et antikreftmedikament, et antiviralt medikament og/eller et antimikrobielt medikament for anvendelse i mennesker eller dyr, som inneholder én eller flere forbindelser med formel I eller II som den viktigste aktive bestanddel.
