Abstract

Oppfinnelsen gjelder en fremgangsmåte for utvinning av metall fra et slagg som inneholder metallet, der det flytende metallholdige slagget varmes opp i minst én lysbueovn (1, 2). For å oppnå en forbedret gjenvinning av f.eks. kobber fra slagg, foreslår oppfinnelsens fremgangsmåte at det metallholdige slagget varmes opp i en første ovn (1), utformet som en vekselstrømsovn, og at smelten bringes fra den første ovnen (1) til en annen ovn (2), utformet som en likestrømsovn. Videre gjelder oppfinnelsen en anordning for utvinning av metall fra slagg.
