Abstract

Brennstoffblanding omfattende en større mengde av et brennstoff egnet for bruk i en kompresjons-tenningsmotor, hvilket brennstoff omfatter én eller flere hydrokarbonkomponenter som koker innenfor dieselkokeområdet, av hvilke hydrokarbonkomponenter minst én er blitt behandlet med et metalladsorberende eller -absorberende materiale i en fysikalsk fase som er forskjellig fra hydrokarbonkomponenten(e)s fysikalske fase, fortrinnsvis for å redusere nivået av minst ett metall, mer foretrukket nivået av minst ett tyngre metall, mest foretrukket nivået av sink, i den minst ene hydrokarbonkomponent for det formål å redusere emisjonen av NOx, samt eventuelt partikkelformige stoffer, frå en kompresjons-tenningsmotor i hvis forbrenningskamre brennstoffblandingen innføres, hvilken behandling inkluderer fysikalsk utskillelse av hydrokarbonkomponenten fra den metalladsorberende eller -absorberende fase. Det beskrives også en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en slik blanding og reduksjon av utslippet av NOx og eventuelt partikkelformige stoffer fra en slik motor.
