Abstract

En fremgangsmåte er tilveiebrakt for å bestemme om et objekt er et identisk objekt til hvilket et forventet kodet bilde har blitt påført (S170). Det forventede kodede bildet har blitt konstruert ved å kode et autentiseringsbilde ved bruk av et sett av en eller flere kodingsparametere. Fremgangsmåten omfatter å motta et digitalt bilde av minst en del av testobjektet, inkludert et målområde hvor det forventede kodede bildet ville blitt påført hvis testobjektet er et autentisk objekt (S120). Fremgangsmåten omfatter videre å bestemme den ene eller flere kodingsparametrene (S130) og anvende en digital dekodingsalgoritme på det innfangede digitale bildet for å etablere et dekodingsresultat (S150). Dekodingsresultatet kan deretter sammenlignes med objektautentiseringskriterier for å etablere et autentiseringsresultat (S160).
