Abstract
Det beskrives en sol-gel prosess omfattende fremstilling av en oppløsning av minst én forbindelse med formelen Xm - M - (OR)n - m, tilsetning til oppløsningen av dopemidler, hydrolyse av forbindelsen for å danne solen, mulig tilsetning av et oksid, geldannelse av solen, resirkulering av væsken og justering av pH-verdien i væsken for å fiksere dopemidlene i aquagelen, tørking av gelen og densifisering for å oppnå glasset.
