Abstract
Overflateaktive, ikke-migrerende antimikrobielle filmdannende sammensetninger og fremgangsmåter for deres påføring til foretrukne medisinske innredningsoverflater er tilveiebrakt. Sammensetningene danner varige belegg med langtidsvirkende antimikrobiell effektivitet uten å danne en inhiberingssone. Eventuelt kan filmene være hydrofile. Spesifikke langkjedede molekyler med bestemt kjemisk reaktivitet er kovalent bundet til en polymer matriks. De opprettholder en langtids antimikrobiell effektivitet uten å migrere ut inn i det vandige miljøet. Den polymere matriksen til sammensetningene inneholder funksjonelle grupper, som kovalent binder til en amin, tiol, karboksyl, aldehyd eller hydroksylaktiv gruppe til valgte langkjedede kvaternære ammoniumforbindelser.
