Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en kompressorenhet (1), særlig for undervannsdrift, med en elektrisk motor (2). Transportmediet som skal komprimeres, særlig jordgass, har ikke bare en ofte varierende aggressiv kjemisk sammensetning, men fører også med seg ulike kondensater, som vanskeliggjør komprimeringen og særlig kan medføre øket slitasje i kompressoren. Også under monteringen kan aggressivt havvann kunne komme inn i kompressorenheten. Dette hindres med oppfinnelsen, idet dreieaksen (60) under drift er vertikalt innrettet og huset (4) har en drenering (64) ved sin nedre aksialende (63). Det foreslås også en monteringsfremgangsmåte for en kompressorenhet, hvor kompressorenheten (1) over vann fylles med et innkompressibelt fluid (82), transporteres til et driftssted under vann, tilknytninger til innløpet (6) og utløpet (7) tilveiebringes, og fluidet (82) føres vekk fra kompressorenheten (1) gjennom dreneringen (64).
