Oppfinnelsen vedrører radioaktivt merkede forbindelser og deres anvendelse i fremgangsmåter for avbilding av amyloidavsetninger, samt fremgangsmåter for deres fremstilling. Oppfinnelsen vedrører også forbindelser for inhibering av aggregasjonen av amyloidproteiner som danner amyloidavsetninger, fremgangsmåter for avlevering av terapeutiske midler til amyloidavsetninger, samt fremgangsmåter for å fremstille forbindelser som inhiberer aggregasjon av amyloidproteiner.
