Abstract
Teknikk for å innregulere settpunktet i en effektreguleringssløyfe beskrives her, for et trådløst kommunikasjonssystem. Settpunktet kan reguleres en tilstand for en overført informasjonsramme, idet tilstanden kan angi om dekodede slike rammer er slettet eller intakte ("gode"). Reguleringen kan også være avhengig av en eller flere (typisk "myke") metriske verdier som indikerer hvilken konfidens de dekodede resultater har, eller på basis av overskytende eller manglende sendereffekt, hvilket på sin side indikerer en forskjell mellom signalkvaliteten av de mottatte signaler eller rammer, og settpunktet i forhold til en bestemt terskel for det såkalte nytte-forhold (Eb/Nt) for det ønskede ytelsesnivå. Alternativt kan reguleringen baseres på en kombinasjon av disse virkemidler. De metriske verdier kan innbefatte feil- hyppigheten for omkodede symboler, metriske verdier for omkodet sendereffekt, modifiserte metriske Yamamoto-verdier, den minste eller en gjennomsnittlig LLR (et logaritmisk sannsynlighets-forhold) av en rekke dekodede digitalsiffer (bit), antallet dekodeiterasjoner og " eventuelt andre. Settpunktet kan innreguleres på forskjellig måte og/eller i forskjellige trinn, i avhengighet av faktorer som dem nevnt ovenfor. Teknikken kan brukes for forover- og/eller returkanalen i blant annet CDMA-systemer (systemer for kodedelt multippelaksess).
